Lebanon: 108 Paramedics Killed in Israeli Attacks

BEIRUT - Lebanese Health Minister Dr. Rakan Nassereddine announced that the toll of Israeli attacks on the health sector since March 2 has reached 163 direct attacks on ambulance crews. These attacks resulted in the killing of 108 paramedics and health workers, as well as damage to 108 ambulances and fire trucks. Additionally, 16 hospitals were targeted, and 4 hospitals were forcibly closed.

Casualty Figures

Dr. Nassereddine noted that the death toll since the ceasefire on April 17 has reached 1,502 casualties, including 380 dead and 1,122 wounded. The cumulative toll since the war expanded on March 2 has risen to 11,650 casualties, including 2,882 dead and 8,768 wounded.

The attacks have severely impacted the health sector in Lebanon, with paramedics and health workers bearing the brunt of the violence. The damage to ambulances and fire trucks has hindered emergency response capabilities, while the closure of hospitals has further strained the healthcare system.
