Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi has finalised a comprehensive emergency cover plan to ensure timely response and emergency services during Youm-e-Ashura (10th Muharram) processions, gatherings and other religious events. According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, a 'Code Red' has been imposed for Youm-e-Ashura, while the leave of all rescue officers and personnel has been cancelled to ensure maximum operational readiness.

Deployment of Resources

Under the plan, rescue posts will be established at key locations along procession routes and at gathering sites, while rescue personnel and emergency resources will be deployed across the district. To strengthen emergency response capabilities, Rescue 1122 will deploy 32 ambulances, 24 fire and rescue vehicles and 100 motorbike emergency service units.

The spokesperson said all vehicles would be equipped with the necessary medical supplies, medicines, firefighting equipment and rescue tools to enable an immediate response to any emergency situation.
