A woman was discovered dead in a suspected overdose incident near Circular Road, within the jurisdiction of Waris Khan Police Station, officials reported on Saturday. Her two young daughters were rescued in a semi-conscious condition and are receiving medical treatment.
Rescue and Medical Response
According to Rescue 1122, the deceased woman, believed to be approximately 35 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her daughters, identified as 15-year-old Iman Fatima and eight-year-old Hamad Shehzadi, were found in critical condition. Rescue personnel administered emergency medical assistance before shifting both girls to Benazir Bhutto General Hospital, where they remain under treatment.
Police Investigation
Rescue teams promptly transported the woman's body and the two children to the hospital, while officers from Rawalpindi Police reached the scene and launched an investigation. Police have stated that inquiries are under way from multiple angles to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, including the possibility of suicide.
