Karachi's Additional Inspector General of Police has revealed that the drug network operated by notorious criminal Anmol has foreign connections. The police investigation uncovered evidence linking the network to international drug trafficking organizations.
Investigation Details
The AIG stated that during the interrogation of arrested suspects, it was found that the network had been receiving shipments from abroad. The drugs were being smuggled into Pakistan through sea routes and then distributed across the country. The police have seized a large quantity of narcotics, including heroin and crystal meth, from various hideouts.
International Links
According to the AIG, the network had established contacts with drug cartels in Afghanistan and Iran. The foreign involvement has raised concerns about the scale of the operation. The police are now coordinating with international agencies to trace the supply chain.
Arrests and Seizures
In a series of raids conducted over the past week, the police arrested several key members of the network. They also confiscated weapons, cash, and vehicles used in the illicit trade. The AIG praised the efforts of the police team and vowed to continue the crackdown against drug traffickers.
The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected in the coming days.
