Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Provincial Minister for Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan, has expressed profound sorrow and grief over the tragic incidents caused by strong winds, heavy rainfall, and lightning in various districts of the province.
In a statement issued here, he said that two people lost their lives and 31 others sustained injuries in different weather-related incidents triggered by strong winds and rain. He added that the injured are being provided with the best available medical care at the concerned hospitals.
The minister further stated that Rescue 1122, along with all relevant departments, remains on high alert and fully prepared to respond to any emergency situation.
Expressing solidarity with the affected families, Shafi Jan prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls, strength and patience for the bereaved families, and a speedy recovery for the injured. He reaffirmed that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stands with the affected and grieving families and will provide all possible support and assistance.
