The government has allocated a total of Rs2,403 million for the Ministry of Law and Justice under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2026-27, covering both ongoing and new schemes, according to official documents.
Breakdown of Allocation
Of the total allocation, Rs1,380 million has been earmarked for ongoing projects, while Rs1,023 million has been set aside for new schemes. This significant investment aims to enhance the infrastructure of the country's judicial system.
Ongoing Development Initiatives
Under ongoing development initiatives, Rs200 million has been allocated for the construction of the Federal Courts/Tribunals Complex in Karachi. Additionally, the Legal Facilitation Centre at the Islamabad High Court has been allocated Rs228.306 million. The Litigants Facilitation Centre for District Courts in Islamabad has received Rs261.8 million. Furthermore, the construction of the administrative block of the Supreme Court Branch Registry in Quetta has been allocated Rs226.7 million, while Rs290.5 million has been set aside for the expansion of the Supreme Court Branch Registry in Karachi.
