Sanctions on Individuals

In addition to the group, the Australian government has imposed financial sanctions on three individuals, including BLA leader Bashir Zeb. Authorities have warned that legal action will be taken against anyone involved in financial dealings with or providing support to BLA members.

Penalties for Supporters

Individuals maintaining links or financial relations with the banned organization could face heavy fines and up to 10 years in prison. The government emphasized that these measures are part of its global security and counterterrorism policy.
