Pakistan Establishes Exclusive Security Unit for Chinese Nationals
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced on Thursday that Pakistan is creating a dedicated Special Protection Unit specifically for the security of Chinese nationals, emphasizing that their safety remains the government's highest priority. The declaration came during a significant high-level meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong at the Ministry of Interior, where both sides reinforced the enduring strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.
Condemnation of Terrorist Attacks and Expressions of Solidarity
During the meeting, Minister Naqvi welcomed Ambassador Zaidong and acknowledged China's strong condemnation of the recent terrorist attacks targeting civilians and security forces in Balochistan. The Chinese envoy expressed profound sympathy for the affected families, stating unequivocally that China "stands in complete solidarity" with Pakistan during this challenging period.
"A Special Protection Unit is being established exclusively for the security of Chinese nationals," Naqvi stated, highlighting that modern Chinese technology would further enhance coordinated counter-terrorism operations between the two nations.

Ambassador Zaidong reiterated China's firm opposition to terrorism in all its manifestations and assured continued cooperation in Pakistan's counter-terrorism initiatives. The minister outlined several ongoing operations and enhanced protective measures for Chinese citizens and projects throughout Pakistan, once again stressing that the safety of Chinese nationals remains a paramount concern. He also informed the envoy about his recent visit to China, citing significant progress in security and development cooperation between the two countries.
