Pakistan and Qatar Review Trade and Economic Cooperation in High-Level Meeting
In a significant diplomatic engagement, Qatar's Minister of State on Foreign Trade and Chairman of the Pak-Qatar Joint Business Taskforce, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, held a meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Doha today. The discussions centered on enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation, with both sides expressing satisfaction over the growing momentum in Pakistan-Qatar relations.
Focus on Expanding Trade Volumes and Diversifying Exports
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the critical importance of increasing bilateral trade volumes between the two nations. He specifically highlighted the need to diversify Pakistan's exports to Qatar, with a particular focus on agricultural products, food items, and value-added goods. The Prime Minister also underscored Pakistan's investment-friendly reforms, detailing the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council in facilitating foreign investment. Commitment to Implementing Agreed Decisions
Both sides engaged in detailed discussions regarding the follow-up to the 6th Session of the Pakistan-Qatar Joint Ministerial Commission. Plans for a Ramadan Task Force Meeting on Investment Proposals
