Rawalpindi: In a swift and decisive action, the Pakistan Army thwarted a suicide attack by Khawarij militants in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan. The attackers attempted to target an army post using an explosive-laden vehicle, but alert troops destroyed the vehicle before it could reach its intended target.

According to official sources, the Khawarij militants drove an explosive-laden vehicle towards the army post. However, due to the high alert status of the Pakistan Army unit stationed there, the vehicle was engaged and destroyed at a safe distance from the post. The explosion resulted in the death of the attacker, and no military casualties were reported.
Civilian Injuries
The blast caused injuries to seven civilians who were in the vicinity. They were immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Wana for medical treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable.
