Swabi Police Arrest Two Wanted Criminals After Shootout

Swabi police arrested two wanted criminals involved in a series of thefts and burglaries following a shootout in the Tor Dher area on Saturday. According to a press release from the DPO office, a police party led by DSP Circle Lahore Zardad Khan, including SHO Tor Dher Syed Al-Amin Khan, ASI Tahir Zaman Khan, and other personnel, was on routine patrol when they received credible intelligence about two armed suspects planning a criminal act.

Exchange of Fire and Arrests

Upon reaching the location, the suspects opened fire with the intent to kill the officers. Police responded in self-defence and to effect the arrests. After the exchange of fire subsided, a careful search operation was launched, resulting in the arrest of Arshad, a resident of Tor Dher, and Syed Qamar, a resident of Jehangira. Both were injured and immediately shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

Recovery of Weapons

Weapons used in the crime were recovered from their possession. The police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
