Pakistan Kills 26 Indian-Backed Terrorists Near Afghan Border

Security forces have carried out a successful operation in border areas along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier, eliminating 26 Indian-backed Khawarij terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij. The operation was announced by Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar on social media platform X.

Intelligence-Based Operations

According to the statement, intelligence-based operations were conducted in border regions following recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan. The operation was launched as an immediate response to a terrorist attack on a Federal Constabulary checkpoint in Musa Dera on June 9, 2026. Action against the terrorist network was intensified following a vehicle-borne suicide attack on a military post in North Waziristan on June 2, 2026.

Coordinated Response

The statement added that security forces carried out a coordinated and well-planned intelligence-based operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, targeting hideouts of the masterminds and planners of Fitna al-Khawarij. As a result, 26 terrorists involved in India-sponsored terrorist activities were killed.

These operations were conducted in response to terrorist attacks on a Frontier Constabulary checkpoint in Musa Dera, a military check post in North Waziristan, and a police station in Bannu. The statement further noted that four major terrorist targets were completely destroyed during the operation, including training centers operated by notorious terrorist commanders Aleem Khan and Akhtar Jani Khel, as well as heavy weapons depots.

Government Commitment

Attaullah Tarar reaffirmed the government's commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the country, stating that the protection of citizens' lives and property remains the state's top priority. He emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies are fully determined to eliminate terrorism from the country completely.
