The 8th Muharram-ul-haram mourning procession in Karachi was taken out from Sea View Apartments on Wednesday, passing through its designated routes and concluding peacefully at Baqiyat Ullah Imam Bargah, according to a spokesperson for District South Police.
Procession Route and Security Arrangements
The participants marched through Khyaban-e-Bahria and Main Saba Avenue, where a heavy police contingent was deployed to ensure the safety of the mourners and maintain law and order. Ample security arrangements were made along all procession routes, entry and exit points, and sensitive locations.
Police Monitoring and Facilitation
SSP District South Mehzoor Ali remained present on the spot, continuously monitoring the security situation, police deployment, and other arrangements. The concerned officers were directed to provide all possible facilitation to the mourners and to further streamline the security arrangements.
The procession concluded peacefully at Baqiyat Ullah Imam Bargah DHA, with no untoward incidents reported.
