Police in Attock have taken swift action, arresting a man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy within the jurisdiction of the Rangoo police station. The arrest came after a formal complaint was lodged by the victim's father.
Details of the Assault Case
The case unfolded when a concerned father approached the authorities. He reported that his son appeared deeply disturbed and withdrawn. Upon persistent questioning, the teenage boy revealed a harrowing ordeal. He stated that an individual identified as Haris, son of Mumraiz and resident of Waisa, had lured him to a nearby house and sexually molested him.
The situation grew even more traumatic when two accomplices of the accused arrived at the scene. The accomplices, named as Mudassar son of Javed and Shabbir son of Azeem, allegedly filmed the victim in a nude state. Police reports indicate that these two men also attempted to molest the boy but were unsuccessful in their efforts.
Police Action and Separate Arrests
Following the complaint, law enforcement officials moved quickly, apprehending the main accused, Haris, and sending him to jail. An investigation into the full extent of the crime is now actively underway.
In a separate series of actions highlighting their ongoing crackdown on crime, Attock police also arrested three proclaimed offenders. These individuals were wanted in connection with various criminal cases. The arrested men are Tariq Mahmood, resident of Haripur, Khalil Ahmad from Sanjwal, and Muhammad Shahbaz of Mirza. They were wanted by police in cases related to bogus cheque fraud and theft.
Major Search Operation Nets Dozens
Further demonstrating active policing in the district, authorities conducted a grand search operation in the Sangjani area. This operation proved extensive, leading to the detention of 41 suspects for questioning. Among those detained were four Afghan nationals, whose cases are being processed according to the law.
The combined actions show a multi-pronged effort by Attock police to address both severe criminal allegations like sexual assault and broader public security through operations against proclaimed offenders and suspicious elements.
