Sindh Youth Science Festival 2025 Begins

The vibrant Sindh Youth Science and Technology Festival 2025 has officially commenced, marking a significant milestone for young innovators across the province. Organized by the Sindh Government, this three-day event promises to showcase the brightest scientific minds from educational institutions throughout the region.

Grand Inauguration and Ministerial Support

Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar, the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, inaugurated the festival with great enthusiasm. Following the opening ceremony, the minister, accompanied by Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar, took a comprehensive tour of the various scientific and technological projects displayed by participating students.

The festival is being hosted at the Sindh Youth Club in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and will continue through November 30, providing ample opportunity for visitors to witness the innovative spirit of Sindh's youth.

Massive Participation and Generous Incentives

According to Minister Mahar, the event has attracted remarkable participation from across the province. More than 70 students from over 40 public and private universities in Sindh are presenting their creative projects, while over 1,500 students from various schools and institutions are actively involved in the festival.

To recognize and reward exceptional talent, the organizers have allocated prize money exceeding Rs 200,000 for outstanding performers. Additionally, participants are receiving comprehensive support including TA/DA, free accommodation, and meal facilities to ensure their comfortable participation.

Ensuring Fair Evaluation and Quality Standards

The festival has implemented a robust evaluation system to maintain transparency and quality assessment. A distinguished panel comprising renowned professors, experts, and professionals has been formed to evaluate each project based on technical merit and innovation.

Minister Mahar emphasized that this initiative aligns with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's vision of empowering youth through science and technology. The Sindh Government is committed to providing every possible facility to young people for their advancement in these critical fields.

The minister expressed confidence that this festival will open new opportunities and pathways for young innovators, serving as a testament to Sindh's promising future in scientific and technological development.

The inaugural ceremony saw participation from numerous dignitaries including former Sports Secretary Abdul Aleem Lashari, Sports Director Asad Ishaq, Deputy Director Syed Habibullah, and several assistant directors and district sports officers who gathered to support this significant educational initiative.
