DEO Kohistan Urges Stronger Education Monitoring

District Education Officer (DEO) Kohistan, Muzaffar Ali Khan, has underscored the vital role of school leaders in strengthening the education monitoring system, stating that effective supervision by school leaders significantly improves teachers’ performance, enhances the quality of classroom instruction and contributes to raising educational standards in government schools. He expressed these views while presiding over an important meeting of school leaders from across Kohistan district held at his office.

DEO Directs Regular School Visits

Addressing the participants, the DEO directed all school leaders to conduct regular weekly visits to the schools under their supervision and closely monitor classroom teaching, curriculum completion, students’ academic progress, teachers’ attendance and overall performance to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of education. Muzaffar Ali Khan described education as a sacred responsibility and urged education officials and teachers to perform their duties with sincerity, dedication and a strong sense of accountability, emphasizing that serving the education sector is a matter of public trust.

Deputy DEO Advocates Model Lessons

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy District Education Officer Aurangzeb Khalil said education is the foundation of sustainable development and urged school leaders not to confine themselves to administrative supervision alone. He advised them to deliver model lessons in schools, mentor teachers, regularly assess classroom instruction and monitor students’ notebooks, homework and classroom activities to help achieve quality education targets.
