Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Amir Khattak and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Babar Sarfraz Alpa visited Talagang on Wednesday to review security and administrative arrangements for the main 8th Muharram procession.
Officials Accompany the Visit
Deputy Commissioner Chakwal Sara Hayat, District Police Officer (DPO) Kashif Zulfiqar, Assistant Commissioner Talagang Suleman Mansha, along with officers from the district administration, police, and other relevant departments, accompanied the senior officials during the visit.
Focus on Security and Administration
The delegation inspected the procession route and evaluated the deployment of personnel, surveillance systems, and emergency response plans. The commissioner emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order during the religious event, ensuring the safety of participants and residents.
RPO Alpa directed police officials to coordinate closely with the district administration and intelligence agencies to prevent any untoward incidents. The visit aimed to ensure that all arrangements are in place for a peaceful observance of Muharram.
