Brother Killed in Domestic Dispute in Kot Sultan
In a tragic incident on Wednesday, a youth allegedly shot dead his brother following a domestic dispute in Layyah. The police reported that the event took place near the railway line at Panwar House in Kot Sultan, where Muhammad Amir Panwar shot his brother Rizwan after an altercation. Upon receiving information, law enforcement officials arrived at the scene and collected forensic evidence. The body was transported to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Kot Sultan for legal formalities and a post-mortem examination. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
Teenager Killed in Road Accident on Eid Gah Road
In a separate incident on the same day, a 15-year-old boy named Abid died in a road accident on Eid Gah Road in Layyah. According to Rescue 1122 sources, the accident occurred near the Khan Di Hatti area when a rashly driven car struck a motorcycle, causing severe head and neck injuries to the teenager. Abid succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Rescue 1122 volunteers reached the scene and shifted the body to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Layyah for necessary legal and medical formalities. The police have initiated an investigation into the accident.
