Former Prime Minister and PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif chaired a crucial meeting of the parliamentary board on Friday to finalize the party's candidates for the upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The high-level consultative session was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and other senior party leaders.

During the meeting, participants reviewed political and organizational matters related to the AJK elections. They discussed the electoral strategy and approved the party's candidates for various constituencies. Senior party leaders who attended included Khawaja Asif, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Pervaiz Rashid, Rana Sanaullah, Amir Muqam, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Anusha Rahman, Muhammad Safdar Awan, and Birjees Tahir.
Participation of AJK Leaders
Prominent AJK leaders also took part in the deliberations, including Shah Ghulam Qadir, Raja Farooq Haider, Mushtaq Minhas, Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed, and Chaudhry Tariq Farooq. Additionally, Dr. Najib Naqi Khan, Barrister Iftikhar Gilani, and Chaudhry Abdul Rehman were present at the meeting.
The meeting underscored the party's commitment to a robust electoral campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with a focus on unity and strategic planning. The finalized candidate list aims to strengthen PML-N's position in the region.
