The Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Qambar Shahdadkot district jointly chaired the monthly district coordination meeting held at the DC Office. The meeting was attended by all assistant commissioners, sub-divisional police officers, and heads of various government departments.
Review of Law and Order Situation
The participants reviewed the current law and order situation in the district. The SSP briefed the house on steps taken to maintain peace and security. He highlighted the performance of police stations and emphasized community policing initiatives. The DC appreciated the police department's efforts and directed for further improvement in response time and public facilitation.
Development Projects and Public Welfare
The meeting also assessed the progress of ongoing development projects funded by the Annual Development Program (ADP). Officials from the Local Government and Public Health Engineering departments presented updates on water supply schemes, road construction, and sanitation projects. The DC instructed all departments to expedite work and ensure transparency in utilization of funds.
Special focus was given to the provision of basic amenities in rural areas. The health department was asked to ensure availability of medicines and doctors in Basic Health Units (BHUs). The education department was directed to improve enrollment and reduce dropout rates in government schools.
Public Grievances and Service Delivery
The DC and SSP listened to public complaints registered through the complaint cell. They issued on-the-spot directives to resolve issues related to land disputes, water supply, and street lights. The participants emphasized the need for timely disposal of public grievances and better coordination between district administration and police.
The meeting concluded with a consensus on holding similar coordination meetings at the tehsil level to ensure grassroots-level implementation of policies. The DC reiterated the commitment of the district administration to provide efficient governance and maintain law and order in Qambar Shahdadkot.
