ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday welcomed a delegation from the National Defence College of Sri Lanka at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation is visiting Pakistan as part of a foreign study tour and received a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan's foreign policy and regional challenges, according to a press release from the Deputy Prime Minister's Office.
Strengthening Bilateral Ties
During the meeting, Dar emphasized the importance Pakistan places on enhancing its relationship with Sri Lanka across all sectors. He expressed confidence that such exchanges would further solidify the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
Briefing on Regional Issues
The briefing covered key aspects of Pakistan's foreign policy, including its stance on regional security, economic cooperation, and efforts to promote peace and stability in South Asia. The delegation also discussed challenges faced by the region and explored avenues for mutual collaboration.
Dar wished the delegation a fruitful visit and a pleasant stay in Pakistan, hoping that their exposure to Pakistan's perspectives would contribute to stronger defense and diplomatic ties.
