Vawda Reveals Munir's Role in US-Iran Peace Talks

KARACHI: While the United States and Iran are engaged in fragile negotiations mediated by Pakistan to end the war, Senator Faisal Vawda has revealed that Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir was facilitating complex negotiations and was personally involved in drafting a possible peace agreement.

In a post on micro-blogging site X, formerly Twitter, Senator Vawda said that CDF Munir's role was no longer limited to the region and that he was contributing internationally to efforts for global peace, adding that CDF Munir would play a historic role.

Whatever analyses and claims are made in the world, all of them will prove to be wrong. The field marshal alone will make history in Pakistan's capital, he said.

Senator Vawda further stated that he expected major global leaders to visit Pakistan within days or weeks for what he described as a historic development in global peace efforts. He said that Pakistan and CDF Munir were prominently appearing in the world order, adding that CDF Munir played a decisive role in Pakistan's military engagement with India, as he had given India the worst defeat in war.
